Photography is both creative and practical, and involves art and science. At King Edward's you have the opportunity to enjoy and learn about photography in four ways
- Enrichment courses (from September 2016) for years 10, 11, 12 and 13
- Photography club (usually Monday and Friday lunchtimes in A1 from 1.10 pm to 1.40 pm. Mondays are for years 7 to 9; Fridays for years 10-13)
- as part of Art courses
- by asking the art staff or photography tutor Mr Healey for help
Don't worry about whether or not you have your own camera: you may have one in your phone anyway. We teach film and digital photography, and the school has a darkroom. We want to help you understand whatever camera you have, and enjoy using it! Photography is a great hobby, you can and may use it in the workplace and your studies, or you can use it professionally. You can study photography at university.
